Terms of use
These terms explain how you may use RunWise Pay, a free service that matches businesses with payroll service providers. We are not a payroll provider, accountant, bookkeeper, or law firm, and this page is general information only.

What RunWise Pay does
RunWise Pay is a free matching service for business owners in the United States who want help finding a payroll service provider. We help connect you with participating providers based on basic business details such as your business name, contact name, phone number, optional email, state, how many people you pay, and preferred language.
We do not run payroll, file payroll taxes, pay employees, prepare W-2 or 1099 forms, or give payroll, accounting, tax, or legal advice. Any payroll service you may later hire is a separate company with its own agreement, pricing, policies, and responsibilities.
Using RunWise Pay does not create an accountant-client, tax advisor-client, attorney-client, payroll processor-client, or employment relationship with us.
Who may use the site
You may use this site if you are at least 18 years old and are using it for a real business need, or on behalf of a business with authority to do so. Please give accurate contact and business-intent information so providers can respond appropriately.
You agree not to use the site to submit false information, pretend to be someone else, interfere with the site, send spam, or seek services for any unlawful purpose. We may limit or stop access if we believe the site is being misused.
If you are helping a family member, client, or employer, make sure you have permission to share their contact details before submitting a request.
What information you should and should not submit
To use our free matching service, we only need contact and business-intent details. This may include your business name, contact name, phone number, optional email, state, team size, and preferred language.
Please do not send sensitive payroll or tax data through this site or by message to us. That means no Social Security numbers, no employer identification numbers, no bank account numbers, no employee Social Security numbers, and no employee personal records.
If a payroll provider needs sensitive information later, they should explain how to send it securely through their own system. Before you share anything sensitive with a provider, confirm who they are, what they need, and how they protect your data. You can read more on our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer.
- We collect contact + business-intent details only.
- Do not submit SSNs, EINs, bank details, or employee records to RunWise Pay.
- If you are unsure what to share, contact us first.
No guarantees, advice, or promises
We try to help you find payroll providers that may fit your business, but we do not guarantee that you will receive a match, a call back, a quote, a certain price, or a successful outcome. Provider availability can change by state, industry, business size, language needs, and other factors.
Any information on this site is general information only. Payroll rules, taxes, deadlines, and registration requirements vary by state and change over time. You should confirm specifics directly with a qualified payroll provider, accountant, or tax professional, and check current IRS and state rules yourself.
If pricing is discussed anywhere on our site, it is only to give a general idea. Many payroll services charge a monthly base fee plus a per-employee or per-pay-run fee, but the real number depends on team size, pay frequency, what is included, and the state. Any range is not a quote, and you should confirm in writing what is included before you sign.
Provider relationships and your decisions
RunWise Pay is not a party to any agreement between you and a payroll provider. If you choose to speak with or hire a provider, that decision is yours. You are responsible for reviewing the provider's services, support, contract terms, privacy practices, cancellation terms, and pricing.
We encourage you to compare options carefully. Red flags to watch for include vague pricing, hidden fees, no clear tax-filing responsibility or guarantee, poor support, and pressure to sign quickly. Ask for a written list of what is included, what costs extra, and who handles tax filings, year-end forms, setup, corrections, and notices.
The owner stays in control. You can compare providers, ask questions, and choose who to hire, or choose not to hire anyone at all.
Site content, changes, and contacting us
We work to keep the site useful and up to date, but we do not promise that the site will always be available, error-free, complete, or current. We may update the site and these terms from time to time. When we do, the updated version on this page will apply to future use of the site.
All site content is provided for general informational use. You may not copy, scrape, republish, or use the site in a way that harms RunWise Pay, other users, or participating providers.
If you have questions about these terms, please contact us. For related information, you can also review our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer.
Limits of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, RunWise Pay is not responsible for losses, damages, claims, tax penalties, missed deadlines, payroll errors, or other problems that may result from your use of this site, your inability to use it, or your dealings with any payroll provider.
That includes issues related to provider pricing, service quality, tax filings, employee payments, compliance, software performance, data handling, or customer support. Because we are a free matching service and not the payroll provider, you should review provider terms carefully and confirm important details in writing before you sign.
Some states may not allow certain liability limits, so parts of this section may not apply fully to every user.
RunWise Pay is a free service that helps you find payroll providers, but we do not run payroll or give tax or legal advice.
Common questions
Do I have to pay RunWise Pay to use the site?
No. RunWise Pay is free for the business owner. If you hire a payroll provider later, that provider will have its own pricing and contract.
Are you my payroll company if I fill out the form?
No. We are not a payroll provider. We are a free matching service that helps connect you with payroll service providers.
What information should I send to RunWise Pay?
Only basic contact and business-intent details, such as your business name, contact name, phone number, optional email, state, team size, and preferred language. Do not send SSNs, EINs, bank account numbers, or employee records to us.
Can you guarantee a lower payroll price or a specific provider?
No. We do not guarantee a match, a quote, a price, or a result. Pricing and provider availability vary by state, team size, pay frequency, and what services are included.
If a provider gives me a quote, is that part of these terms?
No. Any quote or service agreement from a provider is separate from RunWise Pay and governed by that provider's own terms. Read it carefully and confirm in writing what is included before you sign.
Do these terms give me tax or legal advice?
No. This page is general information only. For tax, payroll, accounting, or legal questions, confirm specifics with a qualified professional and check current IRS and state rules yourself.
