RunWise Pay is a free service that helps small and mid-size US businesses connect with payroll service providers. We do not run payroll, file taxes, or give payroll, accounting, tax, or legal advice.

This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect the information you choose to send us when you ask to be matched. It also explains what we do not collect.

What information we collect

We collect contact information and basic business-intent details so we can understand what kind of payroll help you are looking for and connect you with participating providers.

This may include your business name, your name, phone number, optional email address, how many people you pay, your state, and your preferred language. We may also receive other basic details you choose to share about your payroll needs, such as whether you are starting payroll, switching providers, or fixing a payroll problem.

We do not ask for sensitive payroll or tax records. Please do not send them to us.

How we use your information

We may also use your information to improve our website, understand what business owners are looking for, and respond to customer service questions. We may keep records of communications you send us so we can follow up and improve support.

RunWise Pay is free for business owners. Participating providers pay to be matched, but you stay in control. You compare your options, confirm what is included in writing, and choose whether to hire anyone.

How information may be shared

If you request a match, we may share your contact information and business-intent details with participating payroll service providers. We may also share information with service companies that help us operate our website, forms, communications, and basic business systems.

We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to legal requests, to protect our rights, or to help prevent fraud, abuse, or security problems. We may also share information if our business is reorganized, sold, or transferred, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell sensitive financial or employee payroll records because we do not collect them in the first place. We only ask for the basic details needed to help with matching.

How we protect information

We try to use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational steps to protect the information you share. No website, form, email system, or online transfer method can promise perfect security, but we work to limit access and use tools designed to help keep data safe.

Please help protect yourself too. Only send the information requested in our forms. Do not send Social Security numbers, EINs, bank account details, employee records, or tax documents through our website or email.

If you think you sent sensitive information by mistake, contact us as soon as possible through our contact page.

Your choices, cookies, and other important notes

You can choose not to submit a form, and you can ask us general questions before sharing your details. If you no longer want us or a matched provider to contact you, you can reply, opt out where available, or contact us and we will do our best to honor your request as required by law.

Like many websites, we may use basic cookies, analytics, or similar tools to understand site traffic and improve the user experience. These tools may collect general device, browser, and usage information. They are not used by us to collect payroll records or tax filing data.

If a provider gives you pricing, read it carefully. Payroll service pricing often falls into a monthly base fee plus a per-employee fee, but the real cost depends on team size, pay frequency, what is included, and the state. Any ranges you see on our site are general information, not quotes, and you should confirm in writing what is included before you sign.
